The newest premier wedding venue in the St. Louis area opened their doors for the Estate Washington Wedding open house, and to say it was a photographer's dream would be a massive understatement. No detail in this property has been overlooked. The richness of design and thoughtful planning will make for some incredible and memorable events starting next year. Many thanks to Joanna Followell Events for styling our beautiful couple and bringing our shared vision to life!

The Manor House - A Master Class in Extravagance

The day before the Estate Washington Wedding open house, the weather was looking very drizzly and dreary. For a springtime session, it gave me pause. But, Joanna and I chatted on the phone at length and just couldn't delay the chance to experience this incredible property. The beauty of the Manor House can overcome even the gloomiest of days.

Zach and Meg's chemistry only added to the atmosphere in every room - the library, the dining room, the living room. Gowns provided by Vintage Violet Bridal were the perfect choice to complement the sumptuous interior design. The Manor House provides the ideal backdrop for long trains, luxurious fabrics, and unique cathedral veils. Owner Josh Gould lovingly pointed out each design choice on our tour, directing our eyes to the color-drenched walls, custom furniture pieces, and intricate details. One thing you won't find at the Estate? White walls.

Opulent Guest Accommodations

For guests staying the weekend at the Estate Washington, there is no shortage of luxurious guest rooms and gathering spaces. You have your choice of bridal and groom's suites, a pool house next to the infinity pool with a view of the lake, multiple kitchens, and themed guest rooms. Plus, a basement with additional suites, a bar, and game room!

Let's Hear it for the Details

The vision for this Estate Washington Wedding session would have fallen flat without Joanna's incredible work rounding up a team of the perfect vendors. After one conversation where I described what I had in mind, within days she had everyone lined up and excited to participate.
